We’re expanding – again!
We’re very pleased to welcome experienced investment advisor, Pauline Fernandes, to the Jones & Co team!
Pauline, who is originally from Leicester but now lives in Chesterfield with her partner and their son, has over 15 years’ experience in the UK finance and investment industry. Pauline gained a financial services degree at Sheffield Hallam University back in 1999. After completing vocational training as part of her degree course with an independent financial advice company in Leeds, she knew she wanted to forge a career as an independent financial advisor.
“I’m a real people-person and, with my financial background, it made sense to put the two together to support individuals and help them make the most of their money and investments,” states Pauline. “Following university, a year out travelling and a role working my way up through a small independent financial advice firm in Leicester, I went on to achieve a variety of investment exams and became a member of the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII).
“In 2010, I started as a trainee investment manager with wealth managers, Brewin Dolphin. Three years later, I moved to Charles Stanley as a discretionary manager and worked through the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investments (CISI) exams reaching Level 7 to become a Chartered Member.”
Continues Pauline: “I was familiar with Jones & Co after moving to Chesterfield a few years ago and, when I discovered they were recruiting independent financial advisors, I knew this was my opportunity to fulfil my original ambition. I’m delighted to join the growing team here and be in a position to work with clients to realise their financial needs and objectives.”
Commenting on Pauline’s appointment, Mark Jones said: “Pauline is a great addition to our existing team. She is enthusiastic, knowledgeable and promises to be a key member of our investment committee, advising clients on managing their Vision Portfolios, our own investment portfolios that launched earlier this year.
