Starting off 2020 as we mean to go on, we’re supporting our growth strategy with the appointment of Kirk Yeomans as Independent Financial Advisor.

With over 15 years’ experience in the financial services industry, Kirk, who is originally from Devon, moved ‘up North’ in 1997 to study for a degree in Music. Following his graduation, he spent six years working as a professional musician in a 60s tribute band but, after the group split, he made the move into finance.

Initially appointed by Aviva as a Sales Executive, Kirk spent a total of nine years with the insurance and savings products provider. During that time, he learnt a great deal about the UK finance sector in a number of different roles, and gained direct experience dealing with investments, pensions and insurance products.

He then moved to a Doncaster-based ‘at retirement’ specialist, where he was given the opportunity to qualify to be an Independent Financial Advisor and ultimately became a member of the London Institute of Banking & Finance (LIBF). Over the last four years, Kirk has gained an immense level of experience by providing expert retirement advice, for up to eight clients a day, helping them to get the best from their pensions and investments.

“Finance, particularly personal finance, can be a real minefield,” comments Kirk. “Some people I speak to will have a good idea of what products are available and what they want to achieve, but others are simply not aware of the full range of opportunities that are out there. I take great pleasure in sitting down with all individuals and couples, irrespective of their knowledge or expectations, and aim to put a truly bespoke solution together that will take them to a better place financially.”

Concludes Mark Jones, Managing Director of Jones & Co: “I’m delighted to welcome Kirk to the Jones & Co team because he understands our ethos of putting clients first along with bringing a wealth of pension knowledge to the firm. He is very much interested in supporting and advising them, on a long-term basis, to achieve their financial goals.”
