New Compliance Manager now on board!

As we continue to implement our long-term growth and strategic development plan, we’re very happy to announce that we have welcomed another new member to the Jones & Co team. Rob Wood has joined us as Compliance Manager.

Forming an integral part of the business, Rob has more than 20 years’ experience in the financial services industry. Originally from the North East, Rob moved to London to work for international financial services provider, Allianz Group, after he graduated with a degree in Business Studies.

“I learnt a great deal from that first graduate role,” explains Rob. “I got to spend time in various different departments within the company and, one day, it dawned on me that lots of the projects I was working on were actually compliance projects and I was really enjoying the work.”

Rob Wood joins Jones & Co as Compliance Manager

After several years climbing the career ladder in London, Rob moved to Chesterfield with his partner and took up a role with a firm in Leeds. Then, in 2010, he made the decision to start his own consultancy firm in which he advised numerous advisory firms across the UK.

“Working for myself was a fantastic experience – I relished the challenges that regulation can present – but when the opportunity arose to join Jones & Co it was too good to miss. I’d spent a decade advising firms of a similar size and larger and, when I met with Mark, I knew we shared the same business ethos and vision.

“As Compliance Manager, I have a chance to use my knowledge to help Mark and the team to grow the business in a responsible way, ensuring that our standards are the very highest they can be within the financial services industry. I’m really looking forward to the next 6-12 months as we progress and meet key objectives for the company and our valued clients.”
